Currents is a technology company building software solutions for the global golf industry.
What is Currents Passport?
Currents Passport is our first product, used by leading golf clubs worldwide to streamline visitor and reciprocal bookings for both clubs and players.

What do I need to create a Verified Golf Profile with Currents?
You’ll need:
- A Currents account
- Basic personal details
- Golfing details, such as:
- Your home club (if applicable)
- Handicap, Handicap ID, or playing credentials (if required by the club)
- A valid payment method
Some clubs may request additional information as part of their approval process.
How does the verification process work?
When you request a booking, your profile is securely shared with the golf club for review.
Where required, we also automatically verify your membership status with your home club.
Each club sets its own verification criteria and response time.
Once approved, your booking is confirmed and your Currents Passport verification remains valid for 12 months.
Why do I need to be verified?
Verification allows golf clubs to manage access to their courses and confidently welcome visiting golfers.
When am I charged for my booking?
Payment is taken upfront when you submit your booking request.
If your request is not approved by the club, you’ll receive a full refund.
Can I cancel or modify my booking?
Yes - subject to the individual golf club’s cancellation and modification policy.
These terms are shown during the booking process and included in your confirmation email.
Can I contact the golf club directly?
Yes. You can communicate with clubs via the in-platform chat within your Currents profile.
Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll also receive the club’s direct contact details. We recommend communicating through Currents where possible.

How do I update my profile details?
You can update your details at any time by logging into your Currents account and visiting your profile settings.
Is my information secure?
Yes. Your information is securely stored and only shared with golf clubs when required to process a booking.
